Proverbs 16:7 says, “When a man’s ways are
pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies
live at peace with him.”
I’m sure many of you read in our local newspaper
that a local abortionist is returning to do business
in Bozeman. As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation,
Zoë will not take a political or activist role in this
matter. We must keep our heads high, maintain
our high standards of care for our clients and continue
saving babies—all part of our Zoë mission.
We show unconditional love to all the girls who
come to us regardless of what their decision is.
Our job will not get any easier. On the contrary, it
will likely become much harder. Over the past
several years, we’ve had a little more time to educate our clientele since they had to
travel longer distances to obtain an abortion. This will no longer be the case. It is
now more imperative than ever that we become even more effective.
We need you. We need your support both in prayer and financially. Our prayer is
that we will be able to raise the additional $5000 necessary to allow us to advertise
on local TV. We will need more nurses and volunteers and we need to add two additional
board members. Will you please pray about these things for us?
On a personal note, I believe God causes all things to work together for good to
those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Rom.
8:28). I also believe we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. If you have no sin,
you may throw the first stone. “And she curled up on the ground expecting to be
killed and no one stoned her.” It is our job to love. Honestly, my first reaction was
not one of love and I am truly sorry for this. I must say “please forgive me.” I also
said, “not in our town.” Then some amazing things occurred that same morning and
I realized I was acting out of self and not out of love. I believe we need to pray for
those involved in the abortion trade and lift them up specifically.
God is amazing and we’re not here to play God. We are here to love like Jesus. I’m
sure there are things about an abortionist that I don’t understand. I haven’t walked in
those shoes and I lift this person up in prayer asking God to show each of us how to
love her in a Christ-like way.
As for Zoë, things can get pretty busy around here. We have some days right now
when we do five or six ultrasounds. All are not crises, but almost all are unplanned.
We’ve had four women go through our abortion healing class this spring. It is amazing
to see Jesus working in the lives of those women.
Siena Health Care in Belgrade does free pregnancy tests and refers girls to Zoë for
free ultrasounds. Yesterday, we watched a baby in the womb at six weeks and we
could see the heart beating like the flicker of a new star. Please help Zoë to keep the
stars lit.
